The purpose of our smart hybrid energy systems is to:

  1. Improve energy and safety infrastructure on public roads and highways, parks and public areas
  2. The provision of cutting-edge services that combine Smart Cities and Internet of Things technologies.

The implementation that has been designed for the autonomous street lighting system PHAETONS is such that it allows and supports extensions and modifications for the possible loads of our system in order to improve the daily life of the residents and to cover the needs of each Municipality.

REMOTE CONTROL PLATFORM

The management platform of our system supports the remote control of all its components. The management platform is designed to allow:

  • The remote monitoring of the operation units of the PHAETONS network, the receipt of real-time data as well as the statistical display of these measurements.
  • Remote management of our system and network components, secure data handling, forecasting and the use of recommendation tools and other subsystems.
  • Our platform has been integrated to use machine learning models based on receiving data from the gateways of the smart network.

WEATHER STATION

The meteorological station is located in the wider area where our pole is installed (it may concern more poles in case they are installed in the same area) in order to record the meteorological conditions.

  • The weather data are used as inputs so the hybrid controller of PHAETONS makes the best regulation of our system
  • Utilization of the meteorological station through extension for the reproduction of the weather conditions on screens on the poles.

At this moment there are two meteorological data stations installed, one in the infrastructure of Demokritos and one in the facilities of ENERCO.
