The project PHAETONS (Predictive Hybrid Autonomous Energy TOrrent Networking Solution) is integrated, to improve the energy and safety infrastructure of public roads and motorways, parks and public spaces. The energy systems will incorporate in a turnkey solution:

  • Renewable Energy Sources for power generation

  • Wi-fi hotspot
  • Event paging
  • Direct end-user information

All of our system components are controlled and managed centrally, by a machine learning platform exploiting data collected from the energy system ’ s network. This platform is developed to integrate demand forecasting tools, recommendations and other smart grid solutions.

CHARACTERISTICS

Solar Energy

Using solar panels, the smart street lighting system Phaetons is powered by energy, serving its autonomy.

Hybrid Controller

The controller is responsible for controlling and adjusting variables related to the operating conditions of the wind turbine, photovoltaic, batteries, street lamp and other loads in order to maximize the efficiency of the system.

Wind Energy

With a vertical axis or a horizontal axis wind turbine, the Phaetons street lighting system exploits wind energy, serving its autonomy.

Remote Control

A 24/7 remote management system of PHAETONS is used to monitor and control our intelligent street light with 100% reliability and access to real time data of our system.

Energy Storage Units

A battery pack is charged through the power production units to provide electricity and meet all the requirements of the system regarding lighting and potential loads.

Weather Station

The weather station is used to collect all the weather data of the area that our system is installed.

LED lighting

The high quality and efficient LED lamp that is mounted on the pilot produces the appropriate lumens to cover the desired level of lighting according to the standards.

Machine Learning Models

Machine learning models are used in order to create an optimum recommendation system and maximize efficiency of Phaetons.

INSTALLATION

Indicative installation points may be major highways, inter-municipal roads, congested roads, fast roads, public parks and public areas. The installation of the system covers all spatial requirements as well as the requirements in intensity and quality of lighting according to the standards.
